The Wroclaw Good Beer Festival is Poland’s leading dedicated craft beer event and one of the most respected beer festivals in Central Europe. Held at Wroclaw’s Centennial Hall — a UNESCO-listed modernist structure from 1913 — the three-day event brings together Polish microbreweries and international producers, ranging from local Silesian craft operations to well-regarded names from Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, and the UK.

The Craft Beer Scene in Poland

Poland’s craft beer movement has grown rapidly since around 2012 and now numbers several hundred microbreweries operating across the country. Wroclaw has been a particular hub of this growth, with a concentration of craft breweries and tap rooms in the city that rivals any equivalent scene in Western Europe. The Good Beer Festival grew out of this local enthusiasm and reflects the seriousness with which Polish craft brewers approach their work.

What to Expect at the Festival

Entry to the festival is ticketed, with a glass included in the entrance fee. Inside, breweries are arranged across the interior and exterior spaces of the Centennial Hall complex, each pouring their own selection of beers. The emphasis is on variety: expect IPAs, sours, stouts, lagers, wheat beers, and seasonal and experimental styles alongside more traditional Polish styles. Tasting portions (approximately 100-150ml) allow you to try a wide range across the three days.

Food vendors are set up throughout the site offering street food to accompany the beer: grilled meats, cheese boards, bread, and lighter snacks. The food programme is deliberately chosen to pair well with craft beer rather than simply providing ballast.

Live music plays on a stage in the outdoor areas on Friday and Saturday evenings, with sets typically running from 17:00 until around 22:00. The music leans toward rock, blues, and acoustic acts rather than loud amplified music that would compete with conversation.

Tickets and Practical Information

Tickets are sold online in advance via the festival website and at the door subject to availability (the festival does sell out on Saturday, which is the busiest day). Entry including a festival glass costs approximately 30-40 PLN as of recent editions; individual beer tokens are purchased separately inside. Check the festival website for 2026 pricing and confirmed dates.

Centennial Hall (Hala Stulecia) is a 10-minute tram ride from Wroclaw city centre — trams 2, 4, and 10 stop nearby. The venue has a large outdoor exhibition space that fills most festival activity on fine days; the indoor hall is used for tastings in poor weather.

September in Wroclaw is reliably pleasant (14-20°C) with lower humidity than summer. Light layers and comfortable shoes are suitable for the outdoor areas.
