Vegan Poland: Plant-Based Food Guide

Polish cuisine has more naturally vegan dishes than most visitors expect - żurek (rye sour soup) made without the egg garnish, pierogi ruskie filled with potato and cheese, and kapuśniak (sauerkraut soup) are staples on almost every menu. Warsaw's Powiśle district has become the centre of Poland's plant-based scene, with a concentration of fully vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants that has grown sharply since 2020. Across Kraków, Wrocław, and Gdańsk, dedicated vegan spots and plant-based menus have expanded to the point where travelling vegan in Poland is genuinely easy rather than a workaround.
